Have you guys noticed, marketing strategies for local movies will either be their big-budget, their stars, or CGI. And some adds unnecessary controversy, too. And the premise involves either racing cars, ridiculously rich companies or ghosts with nice long hair.
But a good movie need none of those, like this short film, titled Signs by Patrick Hughes (not to be confused with Shyamalan's Signs, ok?). Malaysian film directors should heed this movie. This movie is goofy yet charming, relax yet fast-paced, romantic yet down to earth, and most importantly, simple yet effective! Who says romance need sexual interaction? (wah, sembang!)
